THE NAME OF A SWEET MYSORE PAK IS CHANGED ?

Mysore Pak is a mithai (sweet) from India. It’s Origin is Mysore, Karnataka.
It is prepared with only three ingredients: Ghee, Sugar and Besan. It is Popular during festivals and major events of celebration in southern India.
It has a super soft texture with a golden Yellow colour on top to dark brown in the middle and a light brown in the bottom with around 1 month of shelf life.

But does Mysore Pak, have anything to do with Pakistan? Here’s a look at how this famous sweet being named Mysore Pak.

In “Mysore Pak,” the word “pak” comes from the Kannada word “paaka,” which refers to a sticky Sugar Syrup.
It has no connection with the Country Pakistan, Mysore Pak was invented way before Pakistan was formed.

Some stores in Jaipur renamed the famous sweet from Mysore Pak to Mysore Shree. Saying “The spirit of patriotism shouldn’t just stay at the border, it should be in every Indian home and heart.”
This change comes after recent Pakistan-backed terror Attacks In Pahalgam and Operation Sindoor, where India targeted terror camps in Pakistan.
