Kolkata never fails to surprise with its street food creativity, but this time, things went next level bizarre. A local vendor recently cooked scrambled eggs using Coca-Cola, and the internet hasn’t stopped talking since.
In a now-viral video, the vendor is seen pouring a full can of Coca-Cola into a hot pan, cracking eggs into it, and mixing in onions, chillies, and tomatoes. The concoction sizzles away until it turns into a gooey, fizzy egg bhurji – served hot for ₹100 a plate.
While some curious foodies showed interest, most netizens were horrified. Comments ranged from “Who eats this?” to “My stomach hurts just watching!” The breakfast was even mockingly called the “breakfast of champions”—if your champion is a daredevil.
This isn’t Kolkata’s first soda-egg stunt. Earlier, Fanta Bhurji and Monster Energy Bhurji also made rounds online. Looks like Bengal’s street food scene is turning into a wild science experiment.
